Quality & Technical ManagerQuality & Technical Manager shall oversee the management of product quality and technical services including process engineering that support the core business of the organisation. The successful candidate will possess a high level of initiative, ability to handle multiple responsibilities, and have results driven approach to ensure successful completion of projects assigned by the Plant Manager.Projects will be designed to assist the plant in achieving the business goals and objectives as they relate to productivity, quality, and service. They will work with senior leadership, plant staff and cross functional teams to ensure that we deliver a best-in-class delivery service to our end customers.Key Responsibilities. Lead, motivate, develop and organise Engineering and Quality staff in the delivery of optimum performance and productivity and foster a positive working environment consistent with the achievement of safety, environmental performance and productivity objectives.Direct quality assurance activities, encompassing Lab support, in-process verification and management of the quality management system.Manage Environmental compliance and Product Stewardship activities. Provide support to H&S activities.Understand risk management and the process-based approach to quality and drives continuous improvements.Champion Lean & Six Sigma methodologies in the plant, to support profit improvement and waste reduction programs.Champion’s the introduction of new process technologies and systems to plant. Provide comprehensive technical support to Sales & Marketing.Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience RequiredThird level or Equivalent in Chemistry / Materials / Manufacturing Engineering.Experience in ISO and/or Automotive/Aerospace Systems.Knowledge of pFMEA, 8D, DMAIC & Kaizen processes is desirable.Organised, logical thinker, high attention to detail.Excellent interpersonal skills.Must be able to work on own initiative.
