Our client, a global leader in the production of components for global industries including automotive and aviation, is seeking a Maintenance Fitter/ Technician for their Gort manufacturing facility. The Maintenance Tech/Fitter will assist with all maintenance activities in support of day-to-day production, including preventative and predictive maintenance. Responsibilities:•Carry out preventative maintenance checks and preventative maintenance work.•Establish and schedule maintenance routines.•Maintain appropriate records in relation to plant and equipment.•Ensure adequate spare parts inventory. •Support projects to improve equipment performance/replace equipment.•Ensure all regulatory standards are followed •Support the installation of new projects and equipment.•Respond to unplanned maintenance issue’s and equipment breakdowns.•Adhere to the company’s Health and Safety policies and procedures at all times.•Support the continuous improvement of plant and equipment.Requirements:•A qualification in mechanical engineering OR experience as a Maintenance Fitter or a in Mechanical Automation in an automated manufacturing environment.•Experience with CNC, machining, injection moulding, welding systems, high speed assembly, hydraulic systems, Pneumatics, gas systems, vacuum systems, drives and controls, PLC’s, PCB’s, HVAC, electronic components, machine overhauls, and facilities equipment. •Strong technical problem solving and troubleshooting skills.•Shift work shall be a requirement as and when the business requires. (out of hours on occasion)•Working at heights, LOTO, manual handling, abrasive wheel, risk assessment, forklift preferred•Proficient and experienced in using maintenance management systems (MET App) and IT skills an advantage.•Application of continuous improvement through Lean Six Sigma methodologies and Kaizen desirableEmail your CV directly to Emer Long at for more info about this role.#CplEmerLong
