Senior Corporate Tax Manager | Top 10 Firm | Dublin

Our client, a reputable firm in the accounting industry, is seeking a Manager for their Corporate Tax Group. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, including indigenous owner-managed businesses and internationally-owned corporations in industries such as technology, R&D, manufacturing, and distribution.
As a Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing the firm's relationships with a portfolio of clients, ensuring timely payment and return filing deadlines, and advising clients on succession planning and retirement planning. You will work closely with the partners and client service team on a variety of assignments, including company acquisitions and sales. In addition to managing client relationships, you will also play an integral role in staff development and training within the team.
Main Responsibilities —

  • Assisting the management team in maintaining and developing the firm’s relationship with a portfolio of clients
  • Ensuring that the payment and return filing deadlines are met for a portfolio of corporate tax clients
  • Working with the partners and client service team on advising a portfolio of OMBs on succession planning and on retirement planning.
  • Acting as a key member of a client service team working on a wide range of assignments including assisting clients with company acquisitions and sales.
  • The management role will include training and development within the team, peer wide training, and supporting the partners and management group in working capital management.
  • About you —

  • AITI qualified and a qualified accountant with a minimum of 1 year post qualification experience working in practice
  • Experience of working in corporation tax compliance and of managing a portfolio of clients as part of a team to ensure the various payment and return filing deadlines are met
  • Knowledge of and experience in interpreting Irish Tax legislation and relevant commentary including relevant case law
  • Experience of reviewing work for more junior staff and contributing to the management of client relationships as part of a client facing team.
  • Fluent English with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines and to ensure quality of work
  • Excellent computer-literacy skills
