Your new company Your new Dublin-based company is one of the largest privately owned public transport providers in Ireland since 2007. Entering an exciting period of continuous growth, development & expansion, your new company are recruiting an experienced Mechanic in heavy goods vehicles to join their team. Your new role As a heavy goods vehicle mechanic, you will be required to work on regularly updated fleet of luxury coaches that includes Mercedes, Scania, Setra, Vanhool and Volvo. The role is a full-time permanent position on 10 Hour shift. Weekend work available but not required. Responsibilities include: Maintenance of fleet of over 100 vehicles Ensuring vehicles run in optimal condition. Day to day running repairs. Carrying out monthly inspections Preparing for CVRT testing Diagnosing faults and malfunctions What you’ll need to succeed A HGV Mechanic qualification (Mandatory) 2 years Mechanical experience - Preferably working with Buses & Trucks HGV experience - Bus & Coach experience preferred. Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles A HGV License - Bus Licence preferred. A high level of technical knowledge. Good communication skills, and proficiency in both written and spoken. Experience in working with Diagnostic systems. Experience in working with Gear boxes. Experience in working with ABS systems. Experience in working with Air Conditioning systems, Experience in working with Electric installations. Experience in working with Door systems. What you’ll get in return An attractive salary ranging from €40000.00 – €50000.00, based on experience.
