Job Description We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Risk Manager to join our busy and expanding, Dublin based, Infrastructure team, who are undertaking a range of Controls & Performance duties on several high-profile Infrastructure Projects/Programmes. Additionally, this role will provide the opportunity to innovate, collaborate and learn from our experienced and award-winning Risk Management community and wider extensive Controls and Performance Network. Key Responsibilities of the role: Working alongside project delivery teams as part of a wider risk management team or independently with reach back support to experienced risk professionals, responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following: Leading teams of Risk Management professionals to deliver effective, consistent, assured and value adding risk management across diverse and complex project/ programme. Planning, designing, and implementing risk management processes tailoring to the client’s needs and aligning with best practice. Driving continuous improvement in Risk Management (and interfacing project controls) processes to create efficiency and increasing benefits to our clients. Challenging risk information to enhance the quality of risk data so that it is robust, stands up to scrutiny and reflective of the project environment. Supporting the implementation, embedding and roll-out of any identified changes to Risk Management approaches. Acting as the risk subject matter expert in a major project or programme. Designing and delivering risk training, coaching clients and less experienced team members in risk management processes and practices. Design, set-up and facilitation of risk workshops with subject matter experts to support with the identification and regular updates of risks and uncertainties specific to the project objectives. Maintenance of project and programme risk registers and other additional risk information including maintaining quality control of risk data and reporting. Drive the need and implementation of mitigation actions against associated risks across projects and programmes. Assist the project team with the identification and development of appropriate management responses which are measurable and specific. Actively articulating and promoting the benefits and requirement of Risk Management with the project and programme team. Manage Quantitative Schedule and Cost Risk Analysis activities (QSRA/QCRA) and interpreting the outputs to determine where focus should be applied to benefit the project. Supporting efficient contingency drawdown processes. Working with the supply chain to understand and incorporate the risks they present to clients. Working with other Project Controls disciplines to ensure alignment of project information. Supporting T&T’s recruitment activities to grow and develop the risk management capability. Undertaking line management activities including career development and performance management. Contribute to the national and regional risk communities including Community of Practice. Qualifications and Experience: Experience in managing risk in multiple projects/programmes or relevant experience in a similar risk role or environment is essential. Experience in defining, improving, or implementing Risk Management approaches is essential. Familiarity with several risk standards or approaches (ISO31000, PMI, APM, Orange Book, IPA) and their application is essential. Experience of Quantitative Risk Analysis (Monte-Carlo) techniques, including the interpretation of their key outputs is essential. Familiarity with at least one risk tool (ARM, Predict!, Risk Controller, riskHive, Xactium) is desirable. Practical experience of QRA in a similar environment is essential with at least one of the popular software options (Primavera Risk Analysis, @Risk, Safran, RIAAT, etc) is desirable. Experience of interfacing risk with other Project Controls disciplines is desirable. A risk qualification such as IRMCert, PMI-RMP, APM Risk Certificate Level 2 or Management of Risk (MoR) is desirable. Experience in leading a small team is desirable.
