Field Service Technician (Mechanical) Location & Work mode: Area: Dublin, Ireland Work Location: On the road - 32 countries Base salary + yearly Bonus Working hours: Standard Working hours + OTE JOB SUMMARY Reporting to the Service Manager, the Service Technician is responsible for the maintenance of the SPX Flow and non-SPX Flow equipment on the customer site or at SPX Flow workshops.This technical role provides technical responsibility over service orders, including on- and off-site coordination, tools and material requirements, reporting and on-site customer contacts.The Service Technician provides best-in-class Service operations and will execute his tasks in accordance with best-practice processes and procedures. The Service Technician will follow the processes and behaviours to ensure service orders/commitments are completed safely, timely, within budget and focused on customer satisfaction. The Service Technician will contribute to building and sustaining our culture of customer centricity, execution excellence and team collaboration. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Execution of Service orders Define the needed resources, tools, and materials. Provide a best-in-class service reporting. Perform mechanical and hydraulic maintenance operations on SPX Flow and non-SPX Flow equipment. Assistant the customer to restart the installation/equipment after being serviced (based on experience) • Coordination and supervision of internal and external service execution resources (based on experience) • Support on Warranty cases. • Apply the EHS rules • Supports the Sales on service inquiries • Perform Hands-on customer training • Compliance with all relevant SPX policies and procedures, including business ethics, data protection and health & safety. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES • Precise and punctual work ethic• Analytical skills – able to assist in identifying and providing solutions to customer issues or service execution problems. • Good understanding of the SPX Flow equipment and processes or skillset to learn it.• Ability to collaborate with others.• Positive thinker, able to see solutions in critical situations.• Written and verbal communication skills in the English language. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE • A technical degree, or equivalent, in a service-related field is required.• Good written and verbal communication skills • Be computer-efficient (Word, Excel, and Outlook)• Driving license PHYSICAL DEMANDS • Ability to perform full-day office work and computer screen work.• Able to work on customer sites and perform full-day physical work. WORKING CONDITIONS Office conditions align with SPX Flow EHS regulations and country legislative safety requirements. When visiting SPX Flow production facilities or SPX Flow customer sites, noise can often be at levels that require hearing protection. Also, other risks related to the production or customer environment can require specific protection. All PPE is provided by the company.
