The role: In the fleet maintenance department, the Depot Production Manager is a manager position and is accountable for delivering the daily LRV maintenance. He / She manages overall preventative maintenance and drive's performance of the workshop. This role will also require small projects-based involvement increasing inefficiencies within the depot and maximising depot functionality. Key Responsibilities: Organizing preventative maintenance to achieve the plan produced by the daily planner Ensuring the production of the day is complete, by regularly monitoring the activity of the team and giving clear short-term production objectives to each team Making decision on priority and forecasting downstream effects to the plan by liaising with planner TL's and depot manager Participating in depot meetings with the other MTM's, the daily planner, Exam team leaders and Depot Manger to review KPI's, staff issue's, training, Performance, efficiencies and lean processes Leading Start of shift Brief, End of shift Brief by following the depot managers' guidelines on target-based planning with preventative works specifically Reviewing current potential roadblocks and implementing small project recovery plans to improve the critical path Completing clear and concise handovers that help show clear planned progression for Exams and Bogie Overhaul Reviewing and auditing depot functionality line of route for cleanliness, tooling & depot equipment for preventative maintenance Ensure his team apply the safety rules inside the workshop (PPI, LOTO, workwear, etc.) With the Depot Manager, managing the basic Annual Leave and Absence tracker of the team in line with HR process and recording the data required in the IT systems (transit 9, CMMS, etc.) Managing absenteeism and performance issues in line with HR practices for the team Providing support for the depot manager and deputising where required Covering for MTM's on days as required through AL where required Participating to the MST's & TL's development in the depot, including technical and personal development, overseeing annual reviews for all the team members Leading Quality survey and auditing of all paperwork and work orders: properly filled in and completed Participating to recruitment interviews to determine the future team members Ensuring the onboarding and offboarding process for each new team member and the clear follow-up during the probation period Requirements: Technical or Business qualification is required Minimum 5 years' experience working in a technical company Management/supervisory experience is a plus Strong working knowledge of Irish Health & Safety and Environmental legislation is a plus Knowledge and experience of Tram systems (or other rolling stock) is recommended ICT skills with good knowledge of maintenance management system, MS Office Experience of working in a manufacturing, maintenance environment on a shift basis Location: Redcow Depot Work Schedule: Regular work week 5 days a week On-call and emergency On-call or emergency out of work are to be considered where required.
