Job Title: Senior Life Science UnderwriterLocation: Dublin CitySenior Life Science Underwriter wanted for Global Insurance Group-Dublin CityAbrivia are currently recruiting for a Senior Life Science Underwriter to join our client, a Global Liability and Property Specialist, based in their Dublin City Office. This role will report into the Head of Underwriting and work on some of the company’s largest accounts across the Life Science Sector.The ideal candidate will have an extensive background within EL, PL, Product Liability and Property with knowledge of Clinical Trials and Errors and Omissions a huge advantage.This role is offered on a hybrid basis of 3 days in the office 2 days at home and comes with an excellent package including bonus, health, pension etcYour Role: Cultivate and nurture relationships with designated brokers, effectively communicating our product offerings and value propositions.Collaborate closely with Business Development Managers (BDMs) to proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities and cross-selling initiativesServe as a technical expert in the Life Science sector, establishing an external presence as a subject matter authority.Assist in the budgeting process by aiding in the formulation of strategic plans and providing accurate forecasts to support business planning efforts.Conduct thorough analysis of account-specific data, ensuring alignment with underwriting strategies and compliance standards.Play an integral role in the implementation of our marketing initiatives, collaborating with internal stakeholders to effectively communicate and promote our offerings to broker partners and industry stakeholders. Your Skills: Proficient in underwriting multiline accounts, demonstrating expertise in assessing and managing various types of risks across different lines of business.Capable of operating effectively within delegated underwriting authority, exercising sound judgement and decision-making with minimal supervision.Possesses a robust skill set in risk analysis, with the ability to interpret and analyse claims data to inform underwriting decisions.Experience in underwriting and servicing multinational clients, with a solid understanding of program structures and compliance requirements associated with global operations.Proven track record of successful negotiation across all levels, coupled with the ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with brokers.Exhibits the capability to attract and retain profitable business through strategic underwriting practices and client relationship management.Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, with a keen focus on delivering quality outcomes in all interactions.Preferred experience in the Life Science sector, although not mandatory, will be advantageous.
