Team Lead (Evening Shift)

Description of duties and role responsibilities: Lead and co-ordinate team members in all manufacturing activities undertaken in Production Cells.Own and champion safety on the evening shift and become the first of point of contact for all Team Members.Inherent understanding of OTD and other departmental KPI'sSupport Production Cells with product building when required. These activities may include:Preparing and assembling electronic components to printed circuit boardsPerforming functional product testing and assembling tested PCB's into associated enclosures as per drawings and or proceduresComponent preparation, Board population, Hand soldering, Light mechanical assembly work.Equipment operation, Electronic testing and performance verificationEnsuring all production orders meet their scheduled completion dates for dispatch to the customers.Lead daily cell and support team huddles ensuring timely updates on production orders and material issues.Assist Materials team by undertaking inventory counts in assigned cells as required.Support Customer Service team requests of delivery improvements and communicate customer order issues as they occur.In conjunction with Production Supervisor support the training requirements of all Manufacturing personnel on evening shift and ensure the timely completion of all required documentation.Drive cross training on Evening Shift.Ensure all KPI data is compiled and available for Management to review on a daily basis.Own and update the training matrix with all cell training activities.Support Plant wide programs including 6S and participate in monthly audits and shift passdowns.Support and participate in Continuous Improvement (CPI) activities within MSA Galway.Ensure timely transaction of all non-conforming material in Cells.Drive yield performance and process improvements. Education / Experience & RequirementsLeaving cert, 3rd level Education is an advantage.Minimum 1 to 2 years' experience in a Manufacturing Leadership roleVery strong co-ordination and planning skillsHighly motivated with the ability to work independently & as part of a team.A self- starter with a "hands on" attitude and the ability to motivate teams.Ability to delegate tasks and set deadlines.Knowledge and experience with Microsoft programs, including Word and Excel. Desirables: SMT hand soldering/reworkWorking knowledge of IPC 610CTrain the TrainerGood working knowledge of SAP
