About the Role The Vectra Engineering team is a small and constantly growing team of individuals. At a Glance The ideal candidate is a great team mate who loves to collaborate and work with people, with a variety of technologies, and enjoys solving many different problems. The specific team is currently small (3 engineers) but with lots of potential for future growth. Given the size of the team there would be an expectation to initially split time between technical and people leadership biut also to grow out the team over time. As part of the Engineering team, a Software Engineering Manager will be expected to: Work with product management to help define requirements for new high value features for customers Help break down and plan work for your team Help continue to grow the team through interviewing and hiring Mentor and grow team members both technically and non-technically Participate in architecture discussions and guide the technical direction of the team Ensure smooth delivery of software with automated tests in a modern CI toolchain What Will Impress Us 1+ years of technical management experience 3+ years professional software development experience Experience as a scrum master in an Agile environment Understanding of architecture and experience with REST APIs, databases, and other common technologies Experience with a source control system, preferably Git Strong cloud knowledge, either AWS or Azure B.S or M.S or Ph.D. in Computer Science ( or equivalent experience ) Preferred Experience with Python and Python frameworks Experience working with a geographically dispersed team Ability to work in a collaborative environment Expertise in automated testing in addition to continuous integration and deployment tools Knowledge of networking and networking protocols Knowledge of Cybersecurity Knowledge of source code managementtools;e.g. Git #J-18808-Ljbffr
