Senior Quantity Surveyor Finance Kildare Permanent PART 1: Role Details Role Title Senior Quantity Surveyor Department Modular Reports To Commercial Manager, Modular Location Kill, County Kildare PART 2: Role Purpose To manage all costs related to the project, minimising the cost of a project and achieving maximum value for money, whilst maintaining the required standard. You will be responsible for helping Project Managers carry out quantity surveying duties in conjunction with other team members and provide effective financial and contractual control on all contracts, whilst ensuring that all contractual communications and notices are compliant. The role will involve full range of Quantity Surveying experience from civils through to turnkey handover of fully finished Modular Buildings. This is a key senior role within the Actavo Modular business unit. Ensuring you are responsible for yourself and/or team members who report into you Cost value management and cost control – preparation of monthly CVF’s and CVR’s Performing risk assessments and proposing mitigation measures Overseeing the administration and charge order process for all CSA and MEP packages Interrogation of projected cashflow forecasts received from subcontractors Preparation of contract claims, reports and correspondence Advising on procurement strategy and development of supply chain subcontractors Issuing contract letters of appointment and supporting documentation to subcontractors Chairing and issuing reports of monthly commercial meetings Valuing completed work and issuing subcontractor payment certificates Ensure all changes are captured and costings appropriately assessed and validated prior to issuing to the design team Preparing tender and contract documents Ensuring the administration of all projects follows the contract protocols Undertaking cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work Assisting in establishing a client’s requirements and undertaking feasibility studies Identifying, analysing, and developing responses to commercial risks Ensuring the contract administration and filing system follows Actavo’s template file structure Providing advice on contractual claims Analysing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports Maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use and advising project teams accordingly PART 4: Person Specification Education/Qualifications Degree/Qualification in Quantity Surveying Experience 8+ years related commercial experience Experienced in handling multi-sites simultaneously with broad range of knowledge of all trades. Strong knowledge and experience of contractual requirements Civils or Modular Buildings experience preferred ACT 1
