<p><strong>Job Title:</strong> Maintenance Technician</p> <p><strong>Reports to:</strong> Maintenance Lead</p> <p><strong>Location:</strong> Drogheda Co Louth</p> <p><strong>​</strong></p> <p><strong>Role Overview:</strong></p> <p>The manufacturing plant is actively on a journey from a primarily reactive maintenance approach to a planned one with a focus on reliability via continuous improvement. The Maintenance Technicians will be responsible for providing mechanical and electrical maintenance support.</p> <p>The plant currently operates a 5-day week (24 hour), with some maintenance scheduled at weekends. The primary maintenance workload is generated in wet wipes production. The role will support the business through the assurance of the availability of production assets. The secondary role of the maintenance engineer is to support business development projects of any scale as required.</p> <p><strong>Role Deliverables:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Carry out repairs to all types of plant and equipment in a safe, timely and professional manner</li> <li>Equipment can include:</li> <ul> <li>Unwinding systems</li> <li>Wetting systems</li> <li>Cutting machinery</li> <li>Flow wrappers</li> <li>Bagging</li> <li>Conveying and conveying control systems</li> <li>Packaging machinery</li> </ul> <li>Assist in the development of planned preventative maintenance schedules (PPM)</li> <li>Carry out PPM schedules as necessary and planned work orders as required</li> <li>Assist visiting specialist engineers when necessary</li> <li>Report breakdown root cause, equipment faults and concerns to management, Group Leader and Lead Tech</li> <li>Make full use of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)</li> <li>Plan/prioritize workload to support production and ensure efficient use of working time</li> <li>Fill in job tickets/CMMS on completion of work</li> <li>Respond to maintenance requests for equipment fault, diagnose fault repair and return equipment to operational service</li> <li>Identify spares requirements and control/log usage contact suppliers for new part alternatives to provide more robust equipment reliability</li> <li>Assist with the moving, installation, repositioning of machines and equipment</li> </ul> <p><em>This is not an exhaustive list and may be subject to change and amendment.</em></p> <p><strong>​</strong></p> <p><strong>Experience and Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>3 + years previous experience of working in a similar environment with similar role responsibilities</li> <li>Mechanical/Electrical based apprenticeship with City &amp; Guilds or equivalent qualifications</li> <li>Proven experience working with both Mechanical and Electrical control systems</li> <li>Demonstrable ability to plan, control and prioritise workload</li> <li>Ability to maintain and improve effective work practices, knowledge and use of continuous improvement tools</li> <li>Demonstrates a flexible attitude towards work and is able to respond to business priorities appropriately</li> <li>Ability to work alone and also be a fully integrated member of a team</li> <li>Extensive experience as a qualified maintenance/service engineer operating within a GMP regulated environment<strong>​</strong></li> </ul> <p><strong>​</strong></p> <p><strong>Desirable skills:</strong></p> <ul> <li>PLC program diagnostic capabilities (Mitsubishi, Schneider, Siemens S7)</li> <li>Experience with wet wipe, paper or packaging equipment maintenance and support</li> <li>Experience in fluid storage and batch management systems</li> <li>Experience in design for reliability</li> <li>CAPEX project management experience</li> <li>Experience in process design and process safety</li> </ul> <p><em>​</em></p> <p><em>Please note: Applicants must have documented evidence of right to work in Ireland.</em></p> <p>#LI-Onsite</p> <p>#WWINDEED</p>
