Environment & Sustainability (ES) Department Manager

Overview Are you a Dynamic Leader with a passion for Sustainability? PM Group is a leading International engineering, architecture, project and construction management firm. As part of our Business Strategy 2025, we are growing our specialist Environment and Sustainability team and we now wish to appoint an Environment & Sustainability (ES) Manager for the Cork Business Unit. As sustainability continues to become a key driver in project delivery, PM Group is developing innovative methodologies for Sustainable Project Delivery, making a difference in tackling climate change. In this role, you will enjoy working on multiple large-scale projects in Irish and international markets across a number of sectors and engaging with our client’s critical and the supply chain as collectively we drive to meet Sustainability goals. This is a key role, working with the Cork Operations Team and Group ES Leadership team. You will be involved in developing programmes and plans for ES in partnership with the Group Head of Sustainability and the Director of Services Delivery. Located at our Cork Business Unit, the role may require occasional International travel to other Business Units, Client sites, etc. Responsibilities Championing ES and the implementation of PM Group’s Strategic Plan Management of ES resources and budgets Recruitment and development of ES resources – specialist resources, graduates, etc. Planning / allocating resources to meet project requirements Business Development for our ES Services Preparing proposals and resource estimates for ES Participating in presentations to clients Liaising with ES Managers in other BU’s to deliver ES services across the organisation Driving initiatives to integrate ES into digitally enabled project delivery Encourage and drive innovation to ensure PM Group remains to the fore in ES Consultancy Improve the efficiency of the department’s work processes and systems Ensure the department and other stakeholders are kept abreast of ES Regulatory and Compliance changes and trends and client ES requirements Drive and maintain quality standards within the department Qualifications Qualifications Qualified to at least Degree Level 8 Considerable experience of ES Design / and or consultancy Familiarity with multidiscipline design and project execution systems Good communication, management & people skills Business Development skills Commercial focus Good time management skills Self-starter, strong work ethic and decision maker
