We are currently recruiting for a Financial Planning Analyst to join our Group Financial Planning & Reporting team. Group Strategy Plan Co-ordinate the group’s annual Strategy Plan process and liaise with senior divisional finance leaders Provide Insights which will be an input into Group Strategy Plan Proactively review and challenge, where appropriate, divisional strategy plans and understand the key drivers and assumptions behind these plans Continuously improve Group Strategy Presentations and process Conduct sensitivity analysis on the group’s strategy plan Prepare papers for circulation to the Musgrave Main Board (including financials, analytical review, commentary and analysis) Annual Budget & 3YP Plan the group’s budget process and communicate to divisional Finance Directors. Review divisional budgets and understand the key assumptions Compare divisional budgets to strategy plans to ensure consistency and an understanding of key variances Consolidate the group’s budget Continuously improve templates and planning process to capture and present divisional financial plans Work with the One Finance team to challenge and improve the Planning tool to ensure it is leveraged to bring efficiencies and improvements to the planning process Prepare the budget report including commentary and analysis for circulation to the Main Board Business Partnering Business Partner to the Director of Insights & Innovation Responsible for managing the monthly, quarterly and year end cost reporting for the Insights & Innovation function budget, delivering analysis, insight and decision support to the business. Proactively review and challenge financial plans, identifying prioritization areas for spend in Insights & Innovation. Decision Support & Business Modelling Research the markets and competitive environments in which the group operates and potential new markets Provide analysis to the CFO and CEO as required on performance of divisions and inputs to key presentations on Group performance Be a repository of business and financial information to support the CFO and the Board’s decision-making process Develop financial models to project the impact of decisions on the Group’s Plans and to recommend / justify particular courses of action to the Main Board Prepare Exec and Board updates on current performance for the CFO Prepare presentations for CFO and CEO for various business updates including Family Council, Management Conference, Board and Exec meetings Prepare weekly Exec report on performance across the division Business Partner to the Director of Insights & Innovation Provide financial analysis and insight for various ad hoc projects across the Group which are being run by Head of Group Financial Planning & Reporting/ CFO Ad hoc financial projects ​​​​​​​ Suitable applicants will possess all or most of the following: Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 3 years PQE Very strong analytical, presentation and communication skills Very strong Excel and Powerpoint skills essential Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a financial / commercial role Financial analysis and interpretation experience Commercial experience in Musgrave or external business environment Strong attention to detail and likes to work cross functionally Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines A self-motivated approach to work - can do attitude Good organisational and time management skills. ​​​​​​​***Please be advised this is a 12 month contract Musgrave is an equal opportunities employer.We encourage applications from diverse candidates.
