Are you a Logistics Manager looking for a new opportunity? We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to join an established international company. The successful candidate will be based in Cork, although travel to other sites may be required. Founded in 2007, Wisetek has grown to be a global leader in IT asset disposition (ITAD), secure data destruction, reuse, and technology manufacturing services worldwide. We operate globally with facilities in Ireland, UK, Asia and the US. Overall Purpose of the Role: As the Logistics Manager you will ensure the process of moving goods, in a consistent, efficient and safe manner in line with policies, procedures and project plans. You will be responsible for ensuring the right products are delivered to the right location on time, to the quality required and in the most cost-effective way. General Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Plan, manage and evaluate logistics operations liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies and customersCreate and implement best practice logistics principles, policies and processes across the organisation to improve operational and financial performanceDeliver solutions to logistics problems while maintaining high levels of quality and service within budgetary requirementsMonitor quality, quantity, delivery times, and transport costsUnderstanding all Client requirements in relation to Transport & Logistics.Assess and make recommendations for logistics processes in line with business requirementsSupport continuous improvement initiatives and identify inefficiencies and cost optimisation opportunitiesMonitoring existing logistic systems and make suggestions for improvements when neededContract negotiations for international transport with third parties to realise long term cooperationIdentify and implement new process flows and controls to manage key accountsEnsure all procedures are adhered to in relation to industry compliance and Customer SLA’s.Collaborate effectively in various cross functional workstreams to ensure operational support and adapting working models as necessary.Partner with stakeholders in supply chain and across the organisation to ensure compliant transportation of client’s productsPlan and implement improvements to internal distribution systems or processes.Develop and maintain strong relationships with all connected with the logistics processManage, coach and develop a high performing team that meets agreed objectives and delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvementsReport on achievement of targets and identify any actions requiredEnsure that all functions under supervision operate in accordance with health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitorsOther duties as requiredWhat you'll need to succeed:A minimum of 5 years management experience in similar role is requiredAbility to manage a pipeline of multiple accounts and partnersThorough understanding of MS Office toolsStrong problem-solving skillsMotivated to make a difference in a challenging and fast-paced environmentAbility to prioritise tasks as per deadline requirementsResilient, self-motivated and able to work well under pressureExpert knowledge of technical regulations related to logistics such as import/export and customs regulations, including security requirements to include aviation security What you'll get in return:Competitive salaryPension SchemeBonus payment (based on KPI’s)Additional annual leave based on serviceEmployee discount schemeDiscounted Laya Healthcare membershipOngoing development and excellent opportunities for career progression
