AA Euro Group has been retained by our client who are a leading pharmaceutical to recruit an experienced CSA Project Engineer for a project in Cork. The ideal candidate will have engineering experience on pharmaceutical projects. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Project Manager. Main Duties And Responsibilities: * The CSA Project Engineer will act as the lead CSA engineer and SME (Subject Matter Expert) for the sites Capital Projects department and its associated projects. * The CSA Project Engineer will engage CSA contractors in line with the Capital Projects Sourcing, Project Controls and Contract Administration requirements. * The CSA Project Engineer will engage with and manage design consultants to ensuring they deliver and meet the CSA requirements. * The CSA Project Engineer will be responsible to review and approve when applicable, all CSA design documentation produced by design consultants in accordance with agreed scopes of work and key project milestones. * The CSA Project Engineer will effectively communicate the CSA status of all projects to all relevant stakeholders and shall provide updates on CSA aspects for Capital Projects to Key Stakeholders for a project and portfolio of projects. * The CSA Project Engineer will ensure that each completed project meets local codes, regulations, and quality standards. * The CSA Project Engineer will mentor Capital project engineers on best practices in CSA building design and execution. * The CSA Project Engineer will ensure compliance with agreed construction methods particularly those relating to Quality Assurance and Environment, Health & Safety. * The CSA Project Engineer will be responsible for the coordination of CSA work packages, specifically ensuring the smooth transition from design to construction to handover to operations in a live operational environment. * The CSA Project Engineer will be responsible for the inspection of on-site construction works. * The CSA Project Engineer will assess any potential safety hazards on site whilst continually focusing on ways and methods to eliminate and /or mitigate risk throughout the lifecycle of a project. * The CSA Project Engineer will be responsible for liaising with the site Construction Management team to ensure construction meets all design criteria and is delivered in line with the management process. * The CSA Project Engineer will be responsible for acting as the site Point of contract / SME for Planning applications and associated work package. Principal Qualifications/Skills & Experience Required: * Engineering qualification, with a minimum of ten (10) years previous Pharmaceutical & Medical Devices experience leading and implementing CSA Capital Projects in a live operational environment. * Registration with a professional body such as the Institution of Engineers of Ireland (IEI). * Experience in the development of Capital Project Engineering projects and the delivery of the CSA element of the same as part of a multi disciplined team to agreed key milestones and budgets for projects in the Pharmaceutical & Medical Devices industry. * Experience as a Change Manager in developing and implementing new and /or improved Capital Projects Engineering management processes and procedures for a site. * Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Microsoft Project etc.. * Experience in developing project schedules with respect to design, preconstruction, construction, commissioning, qualification and handover. * A decision maker and effective communicator able to communicate and use VPN, video conferencing and mobile platforms. * Experience in managing a range of suppliers e.g., design, construction, equipment, professional services etc.. * Experience in managing change with respect to projects and the agreed scope changes procedures. * Experience in project and construction management. * Experience with the latest construction materials and methodologies suitable for Pharmaceutical & Medical Devices project. * Experience dealing with Factory Mutual. * Technical understanding of all aspects of CSA design and construction from ground works, through to shell and core, through to commissioning and handover. * Good understanding of Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental requirements and issues. * Knowledge of the current ‘Construction (Design and Management) Regulations. * In depth Knowledge of the Planning Application, Building Control and Fire Certifications process, regulations and requirements.
