WHAT YOU DO AT AMD CHANGES EVERYTHING We care deeply about transforming lives with AMD technology to enrich our industry, our communities, and the world. Our mission is to build great products that accelerate next-generation computing experiences – the building blocks for the data center, artificial intelligence, PCs, gaming and embedded. Underpinning our mission is the AMD culture. We push the limits of innovation to solve the world’s most important challenges. We strive for execution excellence while being direct, humble, collaborative, and inclusive of diverse perspectives. AMD together we advance_ AI/ML SOFTWARE ENGINEER THE ROLE: We are recruiting outstanding engineers with a passion for Machine Learning & AI to lead the definition and specification of AMD next-generation architectures. PhD/MSc-qualified engineers, with a strong background in architectures for AI/ML, mathematical modelling and performance projections, will be at the forefront of identifying, specifying and developing new architectures for machine learning and how they will impact AMD next-generation products. You will join a team whose architecture and systems activities cover a wide range of disciplines including machine learning for data center (HPC) and embedded computing applications; emerging memory technologies; on-chip interconnects; specification, modelling and analysis of modern heterogeneous multicore architectures. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Understanding key application use-cases, extracting requirements, and providing their efficient mapping onto modern heterogeneous multicore architectures Applying strong software engineering skills to implement, debug and optimize the performance of key and emerging ML operators on modern heterogeneous multicore architectures Provide results/reports that drive the definition and specification of the next-generation architectures Technical interaction with internal engineering teams and AMD customers PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: MS/BS Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field Strong C/C++ programming experience and scripting skills (python/shell) Strong understanding of the state of the art/emerging ML algorithms and their mapping onto modern heterogeneous multicore architectures Understanding of general architectural concepts such as ISA, DMA, memory subsystems, and compilation technologies Effective communication and problem-solving skills ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent #LI-PL1 #LI-Hybrid Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance. AMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
