SummaryThe role specifically sits within Everest’s Insurance division, which has an ambitious long-term growth plan, giving rise to continued expansion throughout its international offering. Everest Insurance (Ireland) dac (“EIID”) provides insurance services across Europe, serving key stakeholders within EIID’s branch network (France, Germany, The Netherlands, Spain, and The United Kingdom) and the wider Everest group.EIID’s Financial Control and Reporting team in Dublin are hiring a Financial Accountant as part of a plan to scale-up and support Everest’s wider growth plan. The Financial Accountant will report to the Financial Reporting Manager and work alongside the wider team in the completion of day-to-day insurance reporting and controllership activities, including any projects essential to a high-quality finance delivery in a growth environment.Everest support a hybrid working environment, with both office and remote working. The primary work location is Dublin City centre (beside St. Stephen’s Green), with occasional travel to Branch locations, as required.Key responsibilities:Preparation of Annual Financial Statements under Irish GAAP (FRS 102/103).Support preparation of all external returns including:quarterly and annual Solvency II returns to the CBI and PRA.adjusted GAAP accounts for returns to taxation authorities.ad hoc regulatory reporting requirements across European branches.Support internal and external audit processes.Support month-end, quarterly and annual close processes.Support production of quarterly executive and Board committee information.Preparation and review of key balance sheet reconciliations.Help to develop, implement, and maintain robust accounting and financial controls across the Company.Support finance transformation to drive process and system improvements to enable increased efficiency and accuracy.Provide support on various Financial Control & Reporting team projects, as required.Qualifications, Education & Experience:Recently or newly qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with relevant financial services experience, preferably in the insurance industry.Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accountancy or other relevant discipline is preferred.
