Our client, an animal diagnostics start-up are keen to recruit a Supply Chain Specialist to join their growing team Sligo. This is a Permanent Contract with Hybrid working.As a Supply Chain Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain operations for products manufactured by our CMO. This role involves overseeing production, quality control, and logistics, to ensure a seamless and efficient flow of materials from the CMO to our distribution centers. ResponsibilitiesAs a Supply Chain Specialist, you will be responsible for the following:CMO Relationship Management:Develop and maintain strong relationships with CMO partners.Coordinate regularly with CMO to align on production schedules, quality standards, and inventory levels.Strong input on contract negotiations with an emphasis on lead times and payment terms.Supply Planning and Coordination:Full responsibility for forecasting and planning the supply of materials required for CMO production using strategic thinking around scheduling to reduce lead times.Monitor and track the production schedule at the CMO to ensure timely delivery of finished goods.Review reports including sales reports and use information to optimise manufacturing lead times.Quality Assurance:Implement and oversee quality control processes for materials received from the CMO.Work with third party CMOs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards across all activities.Inventory Management:Optimise inventory levels to ensure an uninterrupted supply of finished goods to meet customer demand to maintain an excellent level of customer service.Implement inventory control measures to minimize excess or obsolete stock.Logistics and Distribution:Coordinate the transportation of finished goods from CMO to distribution centres.Monitor transportation schedules and address any delays or issues in transit.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.Proven experience in supply chain management, preferably with a focus on CMO relationships.Strong understanding of procurement, production, and logistics processes.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis tools.Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the industry.
