Financial Services Risk Consulting - Director

The Position We wish to appoint a highly experienced , with a risk, compliance, internal audit, accountancy or similar background and at least 12 years’ experience. As a very senior member of the risk consulting management team, this person will have the opportunity to lead the delivery of a range of assignments of a recurring and non-recurring nature in the following areas;Outsourced and co-sourced internal audit and compliance monitoringFS compliance and risk managementRegulatory change.Expert technical, communication, multitasking and client relationship skills are an essential required for this role.Responsibilities Management of the Mazars’ relationship with clients including high quality service delivery and co-ordination of service offerings from other departments. Leading business development by identifying opportunities and leading the marketing, client identification and contact with clientsReporting into the partner and working towards the achievement of departmental goals and targetsManaging deadlines and budgets on each assignmentInvolvement as an ambassador in firm / department / practice development and marketing initiativesManaging and developing junior team membersIdentifying and lead training calendar and training sessions for the team and departmentReview articles on regulatory topics which will be published on the Mazars websitePrincipal RequirementsQualification in accountancy or relevant industry qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIA)Ideally, a minimum of 12 years’ experience within risk and compliance consulting Expert understanding of risk and compliance regulations (CPC, EMI/PSD, MiFID, CRR etc)Demonstrated knowledge of challenges and developments within the banking industryExcellent oral and written communication skillsExperience of operational supervision of assignments and managing of client relationshipsExcellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environmentStrong organisational and planning capabilitiesAbility to work on own initiative and to provide guidance to othersExperience of working to deadlines and delivering under pressureExcellent computer-literacy skillsExperience in a professional services firm
