Controls Engineer

DescriptionControls EngineerTeam Horizon is seeking a Controls Engineer for a leading manufacturing company in Mayo.The company is looking for someone who has experience in a manufacturing/pharma setting, they need to have experience with PLC’s Robotics and automated systems. The role is shift work, we have two open positions.Why you should apply:• Our client has developed a stand-out culture of innovation, inclusion and development, and consistently features as a great place to work.• This is an excellent opportunity to join a world class manufacturing operation, with an outstanding track record of reliably delivering high-quality medicines to patients around the world suffering serious illnesses.• You will join an innovative team, working among a diverse group of visionaries, thinkers and doers, working on developing pioneering solutions that lead to shared success.What you will be doing:• Support operation of automated equipment by carrying out fault diagnosis and identification in conjunction/collaboration with maintenance technician team of: PLC’s, Robotics controllers, PC controllers, Automated instruments, SCADA systems, Data Historians, Serialisation systems.• Ensure functional operation of Floor IT Systems hardware (PC’s, HMI’s).• Data analysis of fault issues to support improvements and upgrades.• Automation project work as required outside primary support function.• Identify faults and improvements through data analysis and be able to work with a variety of PLC systems.• All other duties as requested or assigned.What you need to apply:• Electrical, Electronic or Control Systems Engineering qualification or equivalent.• Other Engineering qualifications with suitable training and experience in above systems.• Electrician/Instrumentation/Mechatronics Technician with suitable training and experience in above systems.
