Exciting new Job Opportunity in the new €41.3 million research centre which will be the home of research, innovation, and policydevelopment across the interlinked challenges of climate change, biodiversity loss, and water degradation on the islands of Ireland and Britain. The new Co-Centre for Climate+ Biodiversity + Water hosted by the School of Natural Sciences, Trinity College Dublin is an international collaborative Co-Centre working across 14 academic partner institutions in Ireland, Northern Ireland and Great Britain. The Co-Centre for Climate+ Biodiversity + Water, hosted by the School of Natural Sciences, is seeking to appoint an Executive Director who will drive the mission, vision, culture and strategic objectives of the Co-Centre, together with its implementation. The Executive Director will foster an environment of research excellence and impact where innovation can flourish and enhance the brand and identity of the Co-Centre. The Executive Director will have responsibilities for leading and managing the effectiveness of all industry and policy research collaboration, innovation, commercialization, industry related finance and operations and business development activities appropriate for the Co-Centre’s scale (>€40M) and complexity. The post holder will liaise with partners across the three jurisdictions and will play a key role in providing visionary leadership to the Centre’s professional support team, acting as an interface with key stakeholders in business, civic groups, eNGOs, and Governmental Departments and Agencies. The post holder will deal with the complex interrelationships between climate adaptation and mitigation, biodiversity loss, and water quality declines and the co-benefits that arise by addressing these together. Post status: Specific Purpose Hours of Post: 35 hours per week Salary: This appointment will be made on the Senior Administrative 2 Salary Scale (€102,381 - €136,871 per annum) at a point in line with current Government pay policy. monthly/weekly payscales.
