The Role / Location We are seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to join our facilities management team. This individual shall be responsible for assisting in day-to-day operations and maintaining the facility to the highest possible standards. They will ensure all facilities, including the buildings and its assets, are functional, efficient, safe, and in compliance with all current regulations.   The successful applicant will be joining an established team within the property & facilities management department to work in the iconic Elysian mixed use development. The property is located on Eglinton Street and opened in 2008 as the tallest building in Ireland. The Elysian is without doubt a statement building in the City Centre which offers potential tenants the opportunity to occupy one of our high-end apartments in one the most sought-after developments in Cork.   https://www.theelysian.ie/   The ideal candidate will be self-driven, organised, and have a strong attention to detail. Working as part of a team the role will involve dealing with both residents and contractors in a customer facing manner. Key Responsibilities & Tasks   Tracking incoming maintenance requests & scheduling required works utilising the task management software. Supervise and coordinate third party contractors attending site and inspect works after. Attend to reactive and preventative general maintenance when required - to include painting / plumbing / ad-hoc repairs. Assist with operational logistics. Advise cleaners with respect to additional spillages or staining noted during day-to-day visits. Work alongside the facilities and onsite team to ensure that all equipment is maintained and serviced in accordance with the scheduled maintenance plan. Contractor management and tracking completion of work. Key Management The role will involve dealing with conflict situations and the candidate must demonstrate confidence and be able to deal with these in a professional and efficient manner. Conducting regular inspections of the facility to identify operational issues and areas for improvement. Perform basic maintenance tasks, including minor repairs, planned maintenance and vendor escorting of the work environment. Comply with relevant Health & Safety requirements and be familiar with and ensure that fire, health and safety regulations are adhered to in all parts of the building and car park by inspection, check signage and advising on defects. Assisting with emergency response and evacuation procedures Reporting any issues or concerns to the management team and help in resolving these issues. Assisting in event set ups and apartment move ins/outs. Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience Conducting regular inspections of the facility to identify operational issues and areas for improvement. Familiarity with the range of common plant and equipment used on site. Perform basic maintenance tasks, including minor repairs, planned maintenance and vendor escorting of the work environment. Ensuring all facilities meet compliance standards and safety regulations. Assisting with emergency response and evacuation procedures Reporting any issues or concerns to the management team and help in resolving these issues. Assisting in event set ups and room changes. Ability to operate within a defined budget Ability to manage resources, auditing stock and replenishing as required. Time management between apartment and common area tasks Ideally 5+ years' experience to include good DIY skills with some carpentry skills.
