Our client, a global healthcare leader, is recruiting an EHS Specialist to join their team in Donegal Town. Primary Function:The primary responsibility of the EHS Specialist, is to ensure compliance with all relevant Environmental and Health and Safety legislation and assist in developing and maintaining systems and procedures that optimises the client's environmental, health and safety performance. Foster environmental awareness in the plant and promote a culture of continuous improvement.Responsibilities (Full job description available on request):As an EHS Specialist you will:Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and provide leadership in environmental management.Establish and meet environmental and energy goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) to meet regulatory expectations.Develop and maintain Environmental Health and Safety System procedures.Support site and corporate Sustainability Goals related to waste, water, energy management, and air emissions, aiming to reduce environmental impact.Actively participate in efforts to optimize energy efficiency, reduce carbon emissions, and promote pollution prevention.Coordinate waste management and ensure compliance with best practices and continuous improvement standards.Serve as site Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Investigate environmental incidents to determine causes and resolutions.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent in environmental management or related field, covering biodiversity management, pollution monitoring, impact assessment, and environmental and safety issues.Experience in an EHS or Environmental function within a regulated environment is preferred.Understanding of ISO management systems implementation, including ISO , is advantageous.
