Job Description AtkinsRealis is one of the world’s leading providers of engineering professional consulting and support services with offices across Ireland.We are seeking to recruit Resident Engineer (Electrical) with 7+ years of relevant experience in the Site Supervision activities to be based out within South-East region of Ireland.Candidates will be seconded into a client office/site to work on a number of capital projects in the water and wastewater sectors. Candidates with suitable experience and interested in similar positions elsewhere nationally can also apply and will be considered for future positions if/when they arise.Desirable skills/attributes:Experience in administrating Contracts – Public Works & FIDICKnowledge and Awareness of Health and Safety Legislation and RegulationsChartered EngineerManaging Safely in Construction TrainingEnthusiastic, hardworking and flexibleWilling to take responsibility and comfortable working as part of a teamAn excellent communicator, written and verbal in EnglishResponsibilities:• Specialising in Electrical elements of the works• Driving delivery of projects on site on behalf of Uisce Éireann with a particular focus on health& safety, the time for delivery, cost management and ensuring that the project is constructedto the specified quality standard• Ensuring that the works are carried out in accordance with the contract documents (worksrequirements).• Ensuring that all materials incorporated into the permanent work, and all workmanship areexecuted in accordance with the applicable specification as set out in the works requirementsand that required testing is carried out.• Monitoring and reporting on works being carried out to the Employer’s Requirements• Ensuring that the employer’s representative, the relevant project manager and Uisce Éireannare fully informed of all issues arising on site.• Implementing Uisce Éireann safety policies and standards on the construction projects• Reviewing and commenting on project/site specific HSQE documentation eg RAMS, TMP etc• Monitoring compliance with contract health and safety requirements and contractor’sproposals• Carry out weekly documented health and safety site reviews, follow up and confirmsatisfactory close out of health and safety issues• Ensuring that any accident or incident on site, no matter how minor, is reported to UisceÉireann and actively assist with the accident investigation and implementation of correctiveand preventative actions• Actively participating in Uisce Éireann HSQE team monthly inspections and confirmingsatisfactory close out of any issues identified.About Us:At AtkinsRéalis we put Environment, Sustainability and Health & Safety at the heart of our business strategy.
