Responsibilities Identifying speech, language, communication, and swallowing abnormalities by conducting assessments. Employing evidence-based therapeutic practices to provide clients with one-on-one and group therapy sessions. Working together to provide unified and comprehensive care with families, carers, and other medical experts. Establish clinical leadership in the day-to-day management of the service by assisting and monitoring employees, assigning and prioritizing tasks, and encouraging a pleasant work environment. Oversee, take part in, and contribute significantly to the practice education of student therapists. As needed, encourage and take part in the instruction, training, assistance, and supervision of others. Enhance the function of the Senior SLP and the service, for example, by doing research, planning, audits, creating standards, and providing ongoing education and quality improvement programmes. Make sure that best practices are followed and that efficient procedures are followed. Take part in the ordering and management of medical supplies. Requirements A Master's or Bachelor of Science in Speech and Language Pathology. Licensed to practice speech and language therapy in Ireland under CORU. Dysphagia certification at the IASLT-approved level. Three years of full-time clinical experience dealing with adults following qualification. Clinical expertise in the evaluation and management of persons with acquired swallowing and communication disorders. Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities.
