An exciting opportunity to work in the fast-paced world of Global Automotive Supply Chain within the Avnet Global Supply Chain Services Team. We provide extraordinary Service, Supply Chain and Fulfilment Program Management into Strategic Automotive Customers and Supplier Partners.The successful candidate will be responsible for the supply chain and program management of one or more global automotive customers.They will be empowered to ensure that service level agreements are met to the very highest level of customer satisfaction whilst ensuring the Avnet engagement is run profitably.   They will be involved in the running of value-added planning models, segregated material flow, pipeline, inventory, and risk management & working capital & credit management. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: key point of contact for global customer sites, customer backlog management and validation, close working with Planning (Purchasing) Team, Sales and Operational Management on the tactical execution of the overall engagement, along with handling various administrative tasks linked to the daily business.Fundamental to this role is a very strong eye for accuracy, with excellent organisational skills, and a logical approach to responsibilities.   We value those who drive innovation and automation, and are prepared to grow and evolve in line with the needs of our customers.Tasks and Responsibilities:Is responsible for key customer communication, acting as the primary contact point for the assigned engagements / accounts. Builds a strong relationship those customers global production sites.Creates, maintains and manages Customer demand in our ERP system (SAP) Analyses Supply Chain Health, flagging and escalating possible problems before they impact serviceManages and run Value Added Planning Models over our Segregated material flow, working very tightly with our Planning (Purchasing) TeamsManages Escalations and customer urgent issues Has a deep comprehension of our customised reporting & analyticsReviews our offer packages & pricing for accuracy and completionEnsures Avnet adheres strongly to quality standards and supports customers in quality topics (both technical and process quality issues)Works closely with Account Managers, Operational Management, Logistic Teams, and other Avnet departments with EMEA and worldwide.Builds strong Internal relationships across our Avnet EMEA and Global Teams. Participates and contributes in Operations Meetings.Key Skills & Experience:An understanding of planning (supply and demand), inventory management and production cycles.A great eye for accuracy in data and on our systems. Errors can be very expensive.Strong in Excel but programming or macro skills are not essential.Experience of ERP/MRP systems and appropriate planning (SAP preferred)Proactive and comfortable under pressure – it’s a fast-moving business, with occasional high-level escalation calls and meetings.Good people skills both internally and externally – we build strong relationships to be a trusted reliable partner.Able to influence teams internally, plus calm and reassure customers externally with a clear communication style - help others understand the complicated supply chain world.Very strong integrity and ethics following Avnet’s core values: Key Competencies:Customer Focus & Customer Relationship BuildingCommunicates EffectivelyPlans and AlignsManages ComplexityBeing ResilientNimble LearningStrong eye for accuracyThe day to day:English must be very strong, other languages could be useful but not vital.Close colleagues in Stevenage UK, Serbia, Germany, Belgium and many other countries. We are very European, and very global. Our UK hub is a wide mix of nationalities.Our Customers and Suppliers are based in Europe, Asia and the America’s.We offer hybrid working – currently 3 days office based, 2 day working from home. Can be fully office based if required. All employees are provided with laptops. We will also accept application for remote work for any candidates based within Ireland.Some foreign travel may be required during the training period, especially to the UK, Serbia or the EU. However, travel is not a frequent part of the role.
