Job DescriptionThe purpose of this role is to ensure all media is made up using the correct ingredients and laboratory glassware is kept clean keeping in mind efficiency, quality and accuracy standards as required by the company.Job ResponsibilitiesResponsible for ensuring all contaminated waste is de-contaminated and the waste autoclaves are kept in a clean condition, notifying the management of any problems.It is the responsibility of this person to ensure that the autoclaves are put up at the right process parameters and that they are verified as per documented procedures in a timely manner.Responsible for making up media as outlined in the daily list completed by the media analyst.Responsible for ensuring that the media is made up using the correct ingredients.Responsible for making up and issuing correct documentation of media going to external customers.Responsible for the sanitation of the water system, as per relevant SOP and for the completion of relevant documentation.Responsible for the manufacture of sanitisers for the Microbiology laboratory and rotating them as per the relevant SOP. Responsible for carrying out all quality checks on purified water and completing relevant documentation.Responsible for washing all glassware as per the appropriate company procedures.Responsible for maintaining the level of clean glassware stock at an appropriate level to ensure the laboratory can work efficiently at all times.Responsible for cleaning laboratory equipment as required e.g. refrigerators, incubators etc.Responsibilities include stocking of areas with consumables.QualificationsEducation / QualificationsLeaving Cert qualificationExperience / SkillsGMP experience/knowledge is preferred but not essentialComputer skillsGood team playerGood communication skills both internally and externallyAdditional InformationEurofins Scientific is an international life sciences company, providing a unique range of analytical testing services to clients across multiple industries, to make life and our environment safer, healthier and more sustainable.
