As Coinbase scales globally, we continue to enhance our foundations to meet the ever-changing capabilities of the crypto economy and ensure we are well-equipped to protect the next billion users of crypto.The Security Programs team aims to be “cohesive tissue” for critical initiatives as a strategic partner with the Security team and broader business to drive security outcomes. We are tasked with maintaining an objective view of cross-functional initiatives, and helping leaders across the organization ensure resources are prioritized towards the right initiatives while ensuring that those initiatives ultimately mitigate risk. Our team is composed of Project Managers, Program Managers, and Technical Program Managers who work cross-functionally to maintain Coinbase’s “Most Trusted” brand by driving Security initiatives that protect Coinbase and our customers. What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):As a Program Manager II within the Security Programs team, your primary responsibilities will include: Collaborating with program sponsor and cross-functional Security partners to document opportunities, challenges, and risks related to traditional and novel Security domains. Objectively assessing opportunities, challenges, and risks using qualitative and quantitative factors.Leveraging analysis to propose prioritization of scope, roadmap, deliverables, and budget for new initiatives with a focus on driving cross-functional initiatives that incrementally increase the state of program maturity over time. Working closely with program sponsors and cross-functional teams to influence buy-in and adoption of critical initiatives on roadmap. Rapidly identifying and escalating risks to enable proactive collaboration and timely resolution. Providing program status to Security and Program leadership, ensuring transparency.Communicating with Security and Program leadership to articulate program strategy, direction, and changes. Concurrently manage multiple critical projects including: Establish and update milestones, risks, and timelines to facilitate cross functional collaboration. Understand current state of various cross-functional workstreams as well as dependencies. Understand cross-functional requirements for deliverables and definition of done. Hold teams accountable for deliverable quality and completeness. Clearly assess and communicate the impact of delays to the overall project timeline. Providing program status to Security and Program leadership, ensuring transparency and collaboration. Leverage retrospectives and other tools to propose opportunities for process and program optimization with a focus on achieving outcomes efficiently. What we look for in you (ie. job requirements): A bachelor’s degree or master's degree in a related field5+ years experience as a program manager or related discipline 5+ years of experience in security, risk management, compliance, information systems or other relevant fieldsStrong understanding and proven experience of formal program management methodologiesWorking knowledge of and experience in cyber/security domainExceptional skills in time management, facilitation, communication, and organizationAbility to translate complex concepts simply for varied audiencesExperience managing cross-functional teams and stakeholders Nice to haves: Professional certification such as PMP, CISSP and CISA is a plusWorking knowledge of and experience in the technology and/or financial technology industry Experience or participation in the cryptocurrency industryAdvanced understanding of Google apps, JIRA, Looker and SQLCommitment to Equal OpportunityCoinbase is committed to diversity in its workforce and is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
