Kennedys is looking to recruit an Associate for our Dublin office to work in our busy insurance team. The insurance team defend claims against a broad range of professionals. In addition, we provide coverage advice to insurers, in both the London and Irish markets, and handle insurance disputes on their behalf.In this role you will contribute towards a challenging and varied liability caseload under supervision, including interacting with clients, attending settlement talks and running cases to trial. The role requires provision of expert legal advice, underpinned by a sound commercial understanding.We are open to speaking with candidates that have general insurance experience, or commercial litigation experience will also be considered. Coverage experience, whilst not essential, would add significant value to a candidate.TeamKennedys' Insurance team provides expert coverage and claims defence services to both international and domestic insurers and their insureds. In particular, we advise on professional liability, financial institutions' liability, directors' and officers' liability, public and employers' liability, transactional liability and trade credit claims. We also specialise in advising on property damage and environmental liability claims.We are leading experts in the marine, aviation and transport sectors, advising on all aspects of transport-related claims.Clients International and domestic insurers. Required experience 0 - 4 years defendant insurance experience*Ability to apply a commercial approach to claims in order to deliver economic solutionsTo be proactive and take initiativeStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to manage own time, excellent organisation skillsStrong technical and research skillsExceptional attention to detailAbility to manage a busy caseload of low to medium value claims and to work with senior solicitors on high value claims.
