Senior QS – Solar

Our client, an industry leader in energy efficiency and renewable technologies, are seeking a Senior QS to join their team in Waterford.As a Senior QS, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the commercial aspects of solar projects under construction and commissioning. Your responsibilities will include conducting commercial responses, managing project budgets, and ensuring cost efficiency throughout the project lifecycle. This is a hands-on role in on site commercial aspect of systems nationwide and travel within Ireland is a requirement of the role.Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesTake over the commercial terms and conditions (T&C) from the sales team/or contract.Create commercial and contractual awareness amongst the project teams as per T&C.Identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks from the Clients and Subcontractors.Set up and upload the commercial performance targets in the Company system.Manage the project budgets through working proactively with the project teams to ensure the commercial performance targets are met.Manage the sales invoice to the Clients on time with the accounts receivable as per the T&C.Oversight of the procurement/supply chain approach and strategic partnershipsAssist the procurement team to source the cost-effective resources (material, equipment & contractor).Manage the Client relationship.Develop the Company commercial procedure and documents.Share knowledge and impart skills to other team members.Assist in any other duties which may encompass the role.Experience & Qualifications Qualified to BSc. level or relevant qualification in a construction related field.Min. 5 years’ experience with a Main Contractor.Good knowledge of the construction industry and standard practices including BCAR compliance.Ability to work independently when required.Strong written and communication skills.Good IT skills.Must be eligible to work full time in Ireland.IND-ST-23 Tags:
