Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Solutions Architect (SA) to help accelerate our growing public business in Ireland. You would be part of a dynamic team bringing the latest in disruptive, cutting-edge cloud computing technologies to public sector leaders that want to serve citizens more effectively and put more of their time and resources into their core missions. As a Public Sector SA within AWS, you will shape and deliver on a strategy to build mind share and broad usage of AWS's services within the Irish public sector and the ecosystem that supports them. Your broad responsibilities will include: - Owning the technical engagement and relationships - Technical presales - Removing technical account management blockers, - Defining architectures, - Responding to RFIs and RFPs, - Achieving ultimate success around specific technical projects. To achieve these goals you will build your technical breadth and depth. You will develop expertise in AWS technologies, and a gain deep understanding of how customer applications and services are best built and operated on AWS. The ideal candidate will: - Enjoy working with public sector customers and partners. - Have a passion for educating, training, designing, and building cloud computing systems for public sector customers to reduce costs, drive efficiencies, and increase innovation. - Understand government mandates, security, standards, and compliance for designing large scale cloud computing solutions. - Have experience as an architect and systems or software or network engineer or technical presales engineer. - Enjoy learning new skills to lead architecture discussions on cloud systems - Play a part in the creation of world class systems for government agencies, healthcare providers, and AWS partners who operate in the public sector space, including system integrators and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) - Generally do what it takes to achieve technical success for customers on AWS. Key job responsibilities - Be a key member of the business development and account management team to ensure organisations are successful in moving applications to AWS. - Engage systems integrators and support their technical implementation efforts. - Support and promote APN Consulting and Technology Partners in order to deliver maximum customer value. - Assist solution providers and government agencies with the definition and implementation of technical and business strategies that will enable them to sell more of their offerings on the AWS platform. - Develop and deliver compelling presentations, demos, product , sample solutions, and discussions to drive awareness and adoption of AWS in the Public Sector - Gain industry recognition and credibility as a regular attendee, panellist and keynote speaker at AWS and third party technology conferences, trade shows and press events - Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the worldwide AWS solution architect community, as well as your public sector SA team. - Understand the AWS market segments, customer base, and industry verticals in Europe. We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations: Dublin, D, IRL BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - Experience within specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics). - Experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures - Experience in IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Knowledge of SAP systems (like SAP Business Suite, S/4HANA, SAP Business Warehouse, SAP HANA, SAP Business Objects, etc.) and their architecture and infrastructure needs - Experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking - Experience working with end user or developer communities Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
