With a commitment to continuous improvement, the business is seeking a proactive and experienced Health & Safety Manager to join the team and drive excellence in health and safety practices across the site. Role Overview: As the Health & Safety Manager, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing safety culture and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will have the opportunity to lead and implement initiatives that promote a safe and healthy working environment for all employees. This role is fully site-based, providing you with a hands-on approach to address any safety concerns promptly. Key Responsibilities: * Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements. * Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate control measures. * Provide guidance and support to department managers and employees on safety-related issues and best practices. * Lead incident investigation processes to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver effective safety training programs. * Stay updated on relevant legislation and industry trends to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement initiatives. * Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders on health and safety matters. Requirements: * Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
