Purpose of the Role: The primary objective of this post is to provide care and support through a person-centred approach which meets the practical, physical, and emotional needs of residents, with an Intellectual Disability/ABI/Autism. To assist persons with a disability with residential, respite, training, and day service activities to achieve their highest level of functioning, to maintain their independence and/or to improve skills that will make them more independent. The Social Care Worker is part of the on-floor duty team and may also be responsible for co-ordination of the shift whilst on duty and for the supervision of other staff under his/her direction. The Social Care Worker will report to the person in charge and be required to work collaboratively as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team in service delivery to residents.
