  Production Scheduler (12 Month Contract)                           Department: Supply Chain                                                               Reporting Relationship: Supply Chain Manager   SUMMARY: The role of the Production Scheduler is critical to the successful development and delivery of the production plan, and therefore to achieving our business goals. They act as the interface between the Network planning organization on shop floor execution, with their primary functions being to agree the production plan with the operations team, monitoring that it is completed as planned, and resolving any issues that arise along the way (such as material availability issues, changes due to breakdowns etc.). They also flag and provide relevant updates on the data that drives the planning process, predominantly around production wheels and capacity availability.   RESPONSIBILTIES: Review the Plan given by Network Planner potentially adjusted slightly in order to fully align it with plant operational needs. Conducting a weekly meeting with the operations teams to review and agree the plan and raise a flag to Network Planner for any issue. Daily Monitoring of agreed Plan and follow up with Operations team on adherence to schedule. Ensure Daily Production Order release (exceptions to automated process) – automated job that runs on a regular basis to release production orders three days ahead of planned start date If Required, Production scheduler should resolve material availability issues Follow-up with Quality (RM/WIP release) Follow-up with Warehouse (material not in correct location) Follow-up with Operations (upstream delay) Follow- up with RM Planner (RM Delay) The production scheduler monitors the execution of the plan in each relevant work center, understanding any issues, helping resolve local issues to those necessary in plant. Capture / Report on Performance to Schedule (PTS) Capture /Report on Performance to Schedule (PTS):At the end of each weekly planning cycle, the production scheduler should complete the PTS tracking reports, ensuring ‘misses’ are route caused. The production scheduler also needs to ensure elements of master data, that control the planning process in Rapid Response, are correct and maintained.                             QUALIFICATIONS: Engineering Graduate in any discipline Having knowledge of Planning function for outside hiring for minimum 4 years (preferred)  SAP R/3 (preferable) or ERP skills Excellent PC and MS Office Proficiency  Experience working with Work Teams (preferred) +3 Years experience of SAP    Hollister Incorporated is an independent, employee-owned company that develops,manufactures, and markets healthcare products worldwide.
