Wicklow.</strong></p> <p></p> <p><strong>Contract Type: </strong>This is a permanent, part time contract.</p> <p></p> <p><strong>Contract Hours: </strong>22.5 hours per week (0.6 WTE).</p> <p></p> <p><strong>Salary Scale: </strong>€31,875 - €46,541 pro-rata per annum.</p> <p><strong><em>This pay scale is subject to increases in 2024 in accordance with the recent WRC interim agreement (Ref CAM -100101-22) towards enhanced pay adjustments in Section 39 organisations.</em></strong></p> <p></p> <p><strong>Overview of the Post:</strong></p> <p>To work as part of a dedicated and innovative team in a community based house providing respite and holiday breaks for adults with physical and/or sensory or mild to moderate intellectual disabilities, within a quality framework. The post holder will be responsible for providing excellent professional, skilled and effective person centred, evidence based nursing care.</p> <p></p> <p><strong>Overview of Duties &amp; Responsibilities:</strong></p> <p>· Deliver a high standard of nursing care to service users within a best practice/evidence based framework.</p> <p>· Day to day management of designated caseload including planning, assessment and intervention using researched based practice.</p> <p>· Be visible and accessible to service users, families and carers and work in partnership with them to ensure efficient, effective and caring services.</p> <p>· Develop collaborative, needs based care plans, through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.</p> <p>· Ability to assess plan and respond to the nursing needs of service users with epilepsy, respiratory difficulties and other relevant presenting conditions.</p> <p>· To comply with legal requirements for the safe storage and administration of medicines and other clinical products.</p> <p>· To promote and deliver services within the ethos and philosophy of Enable Ireland.</p> <p>· To promote the health, welfare and social wellbeing of service users in the service.</p> <p>· Be aware of, and comply with, the principles of clinical governance including quality, risk, and health and safety.</p> <p>· Recognise potential risk and risk situations and act accordingly in conjunction with Enable Ireland policies.</p> <p>· To establish and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, families and other key stakeholders.</p> <p>· To organise and participate in clinics held by the rehabilitation consultant.</p> <p>· To establish and maintain appropriate working relationships with other organisations, voluntary agencies etc.</p> <p>· Participation in regular team meetings and other meetings as appropriate.</p> <p>· Undertake the key worker role as appropriate.</p> <p>· Maintain awareness of professional literature, current developments in nursing through self-education, training and professional development.</p> <p>· Participate in clinical and line management supervision and performance management.</p> <p>· Maintaining appropriate, accurate and up to date written records and reports regarding care of service users, in accordance with professional guidelines and Enable Ireland information management policy.</p> <p>· To maintain a high standard of professional behaviour and be accountable for practice.</p> <p>· To work within the scope of practice and take measures to develop and maintain the competence necessary for professional practice.</p> <p>· To work collaboratively with the Adult Services Manager and CNMII.</p> <p>· Development of and participation in training programmes for service user’s colleagues and carers/families, where required.</p> <p>· To carry out vaccination of both service owners/users and staff as required.</p> <p>· Perform any other duties appropriate to the position from time to time.</p> <p></p> <p><strong>The successful candidate will have:</strong></p> <p></p> <p><strong><em>Essential Criteria:</em></strong></p> <p>· Be registered, or be eligible for registration, in the General Nurse Division of the Register of Nurses kept by the Nursing &amp; Midwifery Board of Ireland [NMBI] (Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann).</p> <p>· Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability, (including a high standard of clinical and administrative capacity), for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.</p> <p>· Eligible to work in the state.</p> <p></p> <p><strong>Annual registration</strong></p> <p>· On appointment, practitioners must maintain live annual registration on the General Nurse Division of the Register of Nurses &amp;
