Overview of Role   The Referrals Management Team Lead will be part of an integrated team across our UPMC healthcare services in Ireland that will simplify Access to Care for our patients. The successful candidate will be expected to operate with agility, diplomacy and diligence to ensure the success of value creation and performance optimisation within UPMC in the furtherance of our mission of bringing life changing medicine to all the patients and communities for whom we have the privileged to serve.   We are looking for a candidate with healthcare experience who is hands on and comfortable dealing with multiple systems and reports, manage the day to day workflow of the Referrals Management team Duties & Responsibilities    Manage the time and attendance, clockwise and Annual leave requests for the Referrals management team. Oversee and arrange the training of new team members and sign off on competency training. Assist with Engagement and Competency appraisal, mentoring and feedback. Work with the Access to Care Referrals and Scheduling Manager on identifying metrics and implement reporting of key performance indexes for the team. Manage day-to-day workflow with the team solving problems and ensuring all public and private referrals are actioned in a timely manner. Engage with our clinical leaders to maximise clinic and theatre utilisation for each service line. Manage the UPMC Consultant calendar with the Access to Care Referrals and Scheduling Manager. Monitoring and managing daily workflows with the referrals team to ensure patients bookings are completed and theatre utilisation is maximised for all specialities. Management and promotion of a culture of 'Get it right first time'. Identify and implement any learning opportunities with the referrals team. Review of current referrals management SOP's and processes, identifying opportunities for standardisation and alignment for both public and private referral pathways.        Manage the public and private referral pathways and work with Referrals and Scheduling Manager to ensure the patient pathway process is fully completed in the hospital software from receipt of referral through to discharge. Assist in projects, process improvements, and other referral and scheduling related tasks as identified by management. Lead, coach, and mentor the Referrals management team. Flexible and agile to cover any consultant clinics as and when required. Qualifications & Experience    12 months experience in a similar role or healthcare setting. Relevant business qualification (Degree or equivalent). Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Experience of healthcare systems including iPims and Imeddoc desirable.
