Advert Text Position Title: Process TechnicianLocation: Client Site Reporting to: Site Manger Main Duties and Responsibilities Work within a highly automated manufacturing environment to maximise uptime, ensure the process runs consistently and key business unit performance metrics are met. Actively interface with cross-functional team members, always practicing good team work in support of day to day operating requirements. Monitoring and management of production yield performance, maximizing productivity of the equipment and minimizing yield loss from the process. Liaising with Team Leaders with regard to productivity and efficiency performance issues Engage with support teams in mechanical / electrical / electronic troubleshooting, and in resolving hardware /software interfacing problems on the production floor. Engage with support teams to diagnose malfunctioning systems to reduce downtime or identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair. Work with support teams for co-ordination of preventative maintenance and calibration activities on assigned lines / process. Identifying and assisting the business with the implementation of technical improvements. Support process equipment changes and continuous improvements projects. Building of Quality into all aspects of one’s work by maintaining compliance with all site and corporate Quality Management System requirements Provision of out-of-hours support to the business as required by management or as mandated by shutdowns and/or equipment failures. To be a self-motivated process technician and continuously strive for self-improvement. Maintain an internal ‘Best Practice’ regime and encourage continuous improvements. Assist subcontractors as required. Maintain appropriate records in line with requirements. Must be willing to take on and familiarize yourself with all relevant site systems as deemed necessary to complete the role. All other duties as assigned. Work week nights as part of shift support team (39 hours) Flexibility required (when critically required) to cover production on weekend night shift or swing shift – on a business needs basis Person Specification Strong technical ability Team player Excellent communication skills Ability to multi-task Methodical, analytical and enthusiastic approach to work with good attention to detail Excellent problem solving and trouble shooting ability Excellent initiative and pro-active approach to work Excellent time management and organisational skills Customer focused Qualifications and Experience Certificate/ Diploma in Engineering/Trade qualification in electrical, mechanical, toolmaking or related discipline is required. 2 years’ Technician experience in a manufacturing environment. ▪ Or • Multiple years experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment Ideally with previous experience in some or all of the following: - Low voltage controls - Pneumatics; - PLCs; - Instrumentation; - Calibration; - Siemens Systems Experience in the medical device industry is an advantage. Business understanding of operations and key business metrics. Good PC Skills required. Strong communication skills with both Internal and external agents. Good problem solver Excellent customer service and communicates very well with good interpersonal skills. Proven track record in a similar role. Job Ref 12191
