We are currently looking to recruit for a Garden Centre Lead in our Ashbourne and Clane Stores. Key Responsibilities: Overseeing the horticulture department operation, maximising profitable sales and growth while creating a unique customer focussed environment. Providing expert advice and guidance in relation to plant care and maintenance, core gardening products and equipment. Sparking your teams passion for delivering the best customer experience possible by creating a brilliant customer journey. Ensuring department compliance and health and safety regulations are carried out. Ensuring the correct amount of stock is carried at all times. Advising customers on plant choice and care, and with general gardening queries. Creating and maintaining attractive plant displays. Maintaining a high level of creative visual merchandising. Receiving and processing weekly deliveries of pots, compost and plants. Experience & Qualifications: You will bring horticulture expertise. At least 1 year of horticulture retail experience. Commercial awareness and understanding of budgets, profitability from driving retail sales and improved ways of working. Ability to identify training needs. You will be effectively coaching and training all levels ensuring our teams are delivering a first class customer experience. Adaptability - You will act quickly and enthusiastically to changing prioritises, workload and concepts. Positively managing change, you will lead the team through each season with care and motivation to deliver the best. Other: This is a full time 40 hours per week permanent role.
