Senior Counsel - Dell Digital (IT)

What you’ll achieve We are looking for an experienced Legal Counsel to join our team as Security & Digital Senior Counsel reporting to Dell’s Vice President – Security, Resiliency and Digital Legal. You will play a key role in supporting Dell’s global Digital (IT) and Security & Resiliency organizations and manage a variety of cybersecurity, information technology and data protection legal matters, with particular focus on overseeing regulatory compliance in the EU. In this role you will partner with cross-functional business functions including Security & Resiliency Organization (SRO), Digital (IT), Supply Chain and Procurement, Privacy, and Dell’s product teams.You willProvide legal advice and counsel to the on the development and enforcement of policies, procedures, protocols, assessments related to cybersecurity, data protection, information technology, accessibility and eCommerce.Review and evaluate the impact of legislative, regulatory, and industry proposals applicable to Dell’s IT and security operations and support related compliance programs.Support procurement legal team in negotiating cloud computing, technology licensing, outsourcing contracts, and IT development, and other agreements, as required.Provide legal support of Dell's Third-Party Risk Management program, to include drafting and negotiation of third-party security requirements.Provide legal support for privacy and security incidents relating to Dell Digital applications.Coordinate and collaborate with product lawyers and other teams to evaluate IT requirements for new product launches.Work with cross functional team members on projects to enhance, standardize and scale IT compliance processes.Take the first step towards your dream careerEvery Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table. Here’s what we are looking for with this roleEssential Requirements Minimum 5-7 years of PQE law firm and/or in-house experienceDeep subject matter expertise on regulatory compliance related to cybersecurity and data protectionUnderstanding of global security and data protection laws, including in the EU and UKKnowledge of global industry standards and security frameworks, information security and privacy laws and regulations (e.g. ISO, NIST CSF, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, GDPR, CCPA et al)Familiarity with AI/ML and GenAI technologies ​Desired Requirements Understand IT and/or cyber security technical concepts and methodologies and has ability to communicate and discuss technical conceptsFamiliarity with third-party risk management processes related to data protection and cybersecurityExperience in IT contracting, with an emphasis on drafting and negotiating security requirements, cloud services (e.g. SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, information technology and software licensing agreements, collocation agreements, software development agreementsLegal project management experience is helpful
