Tricel are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Procurement Graduate to join the team. Our Procurement Graduate Programme will deliver a very high standard of training. The programme is designed to expose the candidate to all aspects of purchase which will lead to the graduate having a very successful career in supply chain management, business, with a particular emphasis on purchasing function.  The candidate will learn and put into practice the competencies needed to establish and/or run the purchasing function for any organisation. The skills will be practical and relevant and are transferable to any industry or institution. Responsibilities Category/Market Analysis: Examine current supply chain status, SWOT analysis, which will lead to the development of the purchasing strategy, sourcing and supply plans Cross Functional team work. Monitoring usage/demand by coordinating other Tricel sites and supply chains. Working with R&D to introduce new materials and to identify potential new sources. Strategic Sourcing: Closely working with category buyers to source the highest quality materials and services at the best price using a range of tools including tendering. Cost Savings: Jointly working with category buyers to develop and execute cost savings Supplier Management: Working with the category buyers to negotiate contracts and manage supplier performance to ensure quality and service requirements are met. Setting, monitoring and ensuring Department KPI's. . The successful candidate will start the Procurement Graduate Programme in June 2024. The role will be based in Killarney but may require travel to other group sites in Ireland, UK, France and Denmark. Candidate Profile On track to achieve or will have already achieved a 2:2 undergraduate degree or 2:2 postgraduate qualification in disciplines such as Supply Chain & Logistics, Business Management IT savvy and highly proficient with Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint skills and Word. Have a professional outlook with commercial awareness Exceptional problem solving skills Motivated self-starter with the determination and drive to succeed Strong ability to work well in a team and on your own Ability to prioritise workload Attention to detail Aptitude to learning and showing initiative What do we offer?
