Legal Executive - Healthcare

Kennedys is looking for a Legal Executive/Paralegal to join our Healthcare and Life Sciences' team in Dublin. The successful candidate will work in a fast paced environment in the clinical negligence, healthcare, regulatory and life sciences' team led by Local Managing Partner Joanne O'Sullivan.TeamKennedys' Healthcare team advise clinicians, hospitals, allied healthcare professionals and their insurers on both contentious and non-contentious healthcare legal issues, including, but not limited to medical malpractice litigation, handling a large volume of sensitive and high profile cases, inquests, health law advice and regulatory matters.The life sciences' team advise pharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers and their insurers on high profile, multi-jurisdiction litigation.Key responsibilities Preparing briefs for counsel, booklets, pleadings and other court documents.Preparing instruction letters.Supporting Solicitors with caseload.File management and maintenance of the database.Obtaining medical recordsDiarising all court and other deadlines for the teamResearch of precedent and case law as well as production of associated documents.Attending court and meetings with clients, taking appropriate notes and reporting to the wider team. Required experience Previous experience as a Legal Executive or ParalegalPrevious experience within Healthcare/Litigation departmentsAbility to multitask and prioritise tasksProven ability to work in a team environment as well as on own initiativeExcellent time management and organisational skillsInstinctive ability to be pro-active in a sometimes fast paced environmentAttention to detailGreat verbal and written communication skills Please let us know if you require any additional support or adjustments to be made in order to submit your application to Kennedys.
