Vacancy Name Vacancy Name Solution Architect Employment Type Employment Type Full-Time Location Role Profile Role Profile We are seeking a Solution Architect for a permanent role based in Dublin. You will work in the IT Architecture and Analysis team defining and documenting solution architectures for a range of data and analytics projects and change initiatives that support and contribute to the company’s growth. This is a terrific opportunity for applicants to gain exposure working in an agile data team using the latest cloud technologies as part of an innovative asset management and investments organization. Duties Duties Work pro-actively with senior management, IT colleagues, technology partners and Mediolanum business subject matter experts to: •Develop a deep understanding of Mediolanum technical strategy and assist the IT leadership and project stakeholders in the prioritization and phasing of delivery of solutions. •Document high-quality project solution architecture including the specification of functional scope, technology components, information flows, conceptual data models, integration patterns and non-functional requirements. •Work alongside Head of Architecture and Business Analyst colleagues to design of solutions that are aligned to business requirements. •Understand, document, and agree with stakeholders the technical and business objectives that are to be met by the solution architecture. •Perform technology research and conduct effective workshops to gather information on potential technical solutions from stakeholders, Mediolanum IT team and technology vendors. •Collaborate with engineering and data analytics teams as they develop, test, and deploy solutions. Review delivery team output to ensure solution architecture are accurately implemented. •Create and maintain architecture guidelines and documentation templates including solution architecture templates, interface specifications, data modelling tools and metadata tools. Skills & Competencies •Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on high quality technical design documentation. •Ability to understand functional and non-functional requirements and delivering solutions that meet set standards of quality in a regulated environment. •Ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and be highly motivated. •Analytical mindset, capable of critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Qualifications & Experience Qualifications & Experience •Educated to Degree Level in a Computer Science or relevant technical discipline with adequate technical experience. •Minimum 5 years’ experience in software engineering roles that ideally includes the delivery across application, database, and systems integration components. •Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in Technical Designer or Solution Architecture or a similar role where you have been the technical leader responsible for the design of software or system components. •Experience in Financial Services, but not necessarily in Funds, Asset Management and/or Life Insurance. •Knowledge of solution architecture and technical design methodologies and good practices. Experience of designing solutions that use cloud-based technologies such as AWS, Azure and Snowflake. •Experience with data warehouse architectures, designing structured and unstructured data store, logical data modelling, physical data modelling. •Certification in solution architecture processes and methodologies an advantage. •Certification in Azure or Snowflake an advantage. #J-18808-Ljbffr
