Your new company Your new company is involved in the construction and maintenance of roads across Ireland. They are now seeking to recruit a Civil Site Engineer / Supervisor to support the roads maintenance operations and related services for the company. The role is based in Galway. Site Engineer / Supervisor duties may include the following: Supervise crew on siteOrder materials Complete paperworkOversee subcontractors. Timesheets & Record sheets for works completed.• Completion of pre-construction condition surveys on projects prior to works commencing • Site setting out and supervision • Programming and scheduling of works to maximise the efficiency of allocated resources • Ordering and scheduling delivery of materials • Planning and co-ordination of crews and subcontractors • Assisting with the compilation of budget costing for the commercial team • Production, documentation and maintenance of all requests for information, technical queries, confirmation of verbal instructions and variation orders etc., appropriate to each project, when required • Ensuring compliance with Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) aspects of all works to the highest standards • Ensuring traffic management plans are implemented • Delivering projects within timelines, budget and compliant with agreed scope and quality What you will need: • Civil Engineering Degree / Trade background• Computer skills – Office, Excel, Windows, Outlook, General and/or Engineering Applications • Strong awareness of health and safety, environmental and traffic management • Strong awareness of civil engineering, site works, plant and equipment • Record keeping, documentation and quality control
