We’re recruiting for a Pricing Sophistication Leadto join our AXA Pricing team. The pricing team also benefit from strong ties with other AXA entities and the ability to learn from and share best practice with the wider pricing and data science communities throughout the AXA group.This is a highly independent role working within a small market-leading team of data scientists and actuaries who are responsible for making pricing recommendations to meet AXA’s financial targets. This role will be responsible for carrying out much of AXA’s pricing sophistication development and integrating data science capabilities into existing processes.. A strong background in data science with statistical modelling and coding experience are a pre-requisite for this role. Key responsibilities include:·Lead development required to complete AXA’s pricing sophistication programme which aims to:oImprove financial performance through sophisticated rating modelsoImprove efficiency of rating processes and proceduresoIntegrate data science techniques and capabilities into AXA pricing processes·Maintain and develop models to understand customer value and profitability·Develop pricing tools and reports to monitor and react to changes in account performance·Identify new rating opportunities using advanced techniques or new data sources ·Design, plan and execute large pricing projects co-ordinating resources where required·Act as a point of contact between pricing and IT teams to ensure effective development and deployment of pricing models·Facilitate the transition of project based development into BAU·Represents Pricing team on cross-functional projects within AXA IrelandAssist with mentoring, leading and developing more junior staffYour ProfileMinimum of 3 years experience in a senior data science role or qualified actuary (FSAI or equivalent) with data science experience.Prior experience general insurance industry is desirable, particularly in the Irish home or motor insurance markets.High level of qualification in a numerical discipline – Masters/PhD preferred in maths/ physics/ actuarial science etc.Strong knowledge of data science techniques and skills:Supervised / unsupervised learning - requiredR – requiredData management / feature engineering – requiredSQL database – preferredGit – preferredPython – preferredDevOps knowledge is a plusDetail oriented and exhibiting highly effective organisational skills to manage multiple tasks.Enthusiastic with an interest in future development over maintaining the status quo.Ability to communicate complex analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner.Ability to work well under pressure in a team environment.Will participate in continued professional development to keep up to date with developments in general insurance and the Irish market.About AXAWould you like to wake up every day driven and inspired by our noble mission and to work together as one global team to empower people to live a better life?
