Western Automation is headquartered near Galway, Ireland with R&D operations in Cadiz, Spain.Currently, we are looking for an R&D Engineering Managerin Ballinasloe who will manage all engineering activities within the Ireland office including design, development, production, and testing. Implements and maintains overall engineering objectives and initiatives. Confronts and solves performance/operational issues to improve efficiency.About the job:· Leads a growing team of design engineers and technicians. Work collaboratively with peer engineering managers from different locations in the US and Europe, leveraging experience and expertise to create innovative products· Ensures new product development programs stay on time and within budget· Designs, develops, modifies, and evaluates options and makes sound design recommendations for product development, enhancement, or production testing. This includes working closely with individual Project Managers and Senior Design engineers to create specifications, design, evaluate, test, and document new products and/or production test equipment· Assists Project Management to investigate and support customer requests and requirements· Assist manufacturing operations and quality team to investigate customer complaints, product quality issues, or manufacturing issues as appropriate· Support compliance of laboratory, manufacturing, and production processes with internal and external safety, quality, and regulatory standards requirements· Assisting Product Management and Sales with new product definitions and introductions into the marketplaceAbout you:· Bachelor or university degree in Engineering (MS preferred)· 5+ years of similar work experience· Team management experience· Experience with global manufacturing companies preferred· Advanced knowledge of MS Office· Strong analytical skills· Strong communication skills· High attention to detail· Fluency in EnglishLittelfuse strives to empower associate growth and development in a culture of ongoing collaboration and respect for diverse global perspectives and expertise.
