Working Pattern: Permanent | Full TimeAs a Wind Turbine Technician, you'll play a key role working with a team of Technicians who take pride in the operation and maintenance of the SSE Renewables fleet. These opportunities are open to entry level technicians looking to start a career in Renewables through to Enhanced Wind Turbine Technician looking to drive the change to Net Zero. Utilising information from our maintenance management system, you'll perform scheduled maintenance and fault rectification on our fleet of turbines, ensuring they are operating at their optimum capacity. Along with other members of the team, you'll deliver wind turbine maintenance for SSE Renewable Operations driven by four key performance measures, SHE, Capability, Quality and Cost. What do I need? To be considered for this role, we would love you to have;- A minimum of NC or SVQ Level 3 in a Mechanical/Electrical discipline or equivalent, and to have served a recognised apprenticeship. - Demonstrable experience of servicing, fault finding and repairing of Wind Turbine Generators or the equivalent experience within your current sector.- A current GWO basic training certification would be highly beneficial but training can be provided.- A strong understanding of the application and use of safe systems of work, including working in accordance with Wind Turbine Safety Rules. To ensure the site is operating efficiently throughout the year, you may be expected to participate in a scheduled standby rota. If you do participate, it's expected you would be required one week in four. Additional payments relating to this will be available. What's in it for you?
