Trading Compliance Analyst

Overview You will be part of a compliance monitoring team that is responsible for monitoring and reporting on compliance and other risks. Based on the trading floor, it involves working closely with traders and operations teams. Ideally, but not essential you will already have a good knowledge of the types of financial instruments traded by SIG, and this is a superb opportunity for an individual to work within a true front office environment. In the role you will:Carry out monitoring in accordance with the risk-based Compliance Monitoring ProgrammeCarry out second line real-time monitoring of the firms algorithmic trading activityAnalyse compliance exception reportsAssist in ensuring that the firm complies with trading venue rules and relevant regulations e.g., MiFID II, EMIR, MAREnsure that the identities of new counterparties are being processed in accordance with the account opening and anti-money laundering proceduresCheck that procedures are followed in relation to controls around automated trading systems used by SIGEnsure that procedures are followed in relation to trading and counterparty limitsAssist in completing themed reviews of different business areas What we're looking forDegree in business, preferably a finance or law related disciplineCompliance experience preferably in the financial sector Compliance related qualification would be advantageousInterest in financial markets and knowledge of financial instrumentsHigh level of proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly ExcelKnowledge of Visual Basic/SQL would be advantageousAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work well in a teamStrong communicator (verbal and written) - ability to convey subject matter in a clear and concise mannerAttention to detail - thorough in work carried outEffective problem solving skills - identifies problems and propse solutions
