The Regulatory Affairs team is an integral part of PepsiCo’s Research and Development (R&D) structure and maintains a strong partnership with our business teams. This role includes partnership with multiple functions including, but not limited to, R&D, Procurement, Legal and Supply Chain globally. The primary responsibility of this position is the review and assessment of supplier questionnaire dossiers and supporting certifications and affidavits, while working closely with ingredient specifications and R&D databases. The person selected for this position will evaluate and confirm multiple regulatory aspects of supplier raw materials (ingredients) to support global compliance and freedom of movement for raw materials. ResponsibilitiesRegulatory Affairs Compliance: Ensure compliance with all Requirements as outlined within the supplier questionnaire dossier.Provide regulatory guidance for beverage initiatives.Monitor regulatory changes, ensure awareness and drive implementation as needed.Provide input to beverage databases & questionnaire enhancements for continued improvement in capturing compliance.Help develop and maintain training documentation such as SOPs and work instructions related to dossier review and approval process.Internal Business Partner: Provide effective R&D and business partnership and support.Support innovation, integration and productivity for beverage ingredients.Ensure the necessary approvals are in place and completed timely.Maintain Supplier and External Partner Relationships: Provide regulatory expertise and help liaise with key supplier regulatory and account contacts if needed.Provide Regulatory input on supplier responses and reconcile received affidavits and certifications with requisite requests.Interact with consultants to ensure dossier review, approval and metrics reporting is sound; lend support in monitoring and assessing consultant’s work product. QualificationsBS in Food Science, Nutrition Science, Engineering or equivalent as minimum.Preference for at least 1-2 years in the Food Consumer Packaged Goods Industry.Knowledge of food regulations, ingredient specifications and nutrition.Excellent computer skills and attention to detail.Ability to execute quickly and accurately under pressure.Excellent communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills.Effective collaborator who works well with others.
