Description :Business Integrity Manager - FTCDiageo Ireland is the leading premium drinks business and one of the largest and best-performing food and drink exporters in Ireland. In our demand business we employ 250 people, who are part of a wider team of 1,200 highly skilled professionals across five operations, including brewing, production of liqueurs, marketing, sales, and commercial support.For Diageo Ireland our Business Integrity Programme plays a crucial role in achieving the company's goal of being one of the best performing, most trusted and respected consumer products companies in the world. The Programme is an internal element of Diageo’s overall governance and risk management activity. The programme is focused on bringing to life our overall performance ambition and must also meet, at a minimum, the best practice standards benchmarked against UK, US, and local legislation. This includes maintaining and embedding our Code of Business Conduct (the Code) and an appropriate framework of policies and standards that support the Code; developing appropriate principles based engagement and ensuring delivery of training to support the application of the Code and policies; investigating and responding to potential breaches of the Code and policies; assessing how to minimise compliance risks; and ensuring employees are aware of and feel comfortable using our Speak Up whistleblowing channels.Ethical behaviour (‘doing business the right way’) is increasingly synonymous with a company’s overall sustainability, which makes it an essential component of corporate governance. A breakdown or reduction in focus on this component could have serious legal, financial and/or reputational consequences for Diageo. You will engage with the Ireland Demand Market Leadership team to help them own, drive and lead their accountabilities related to ‘doing business in the right way’. You will act as second line of defence to the Ireland Demand Market, overseeing risk indicators and potential red flags; looking for insights and root causes for breaches; as well as advising on and coordinating interventions to mitigate risks.Top AccountabilitiesFunctional:Influence and advise senior leaders to maintain a strong tone-at-the-top and reinforce accountability and awareness of the Business Integrity agenda.Shape the market’s/function’s culture of integrity, which includes proactive risk identification and developing plans to effectively embed our Code and policies through tailored engagement interventions.Act as trusted advisor across all levels of the organisation to drive compliant behaviour and provide decision support on controls, risk and compliance matters.Coordinate the market’s/function’s breach management process (including publicisingSpeak Up channels, supporting investigations as assigned, undertaking remediation management, and evaluating the adequacy/consistency of breach consequences) and conduct a ‘root cause analyses’ to inform 'lessons learned' communications / engagement as needed.In partnership with Global BI and the Learning & Development team, ensure proper delivery of risk-based training programme on our Code, policies and standards, and monitor effectiveness of the same.Use data related to compliance and the insights from such data to enable timely actions.Facilitate ongoing review of risk management activities with Risk Owners, coordinate periodic governance forums (i.e. RMCs).Collaborate with Global Controls Assurance (GCA) team on annual mapping and scoping of risks, controls, and support critical issues through the year.Facilitate the tracking and reporting of remediations for identified deficiencies within agreed upon time periods, and supporting submissions to the ARC and FAC.Coordinate the Market Business Continuity and Crisis Management plans and preparation activities along with the Market Leadership Team and Functional Leads.Coordinate information retention and disposal management activities, such as annual IAI review and FAB exercise as Market Owner of the Record Retention control.Leadership:Win through ExecutionSets and pursues direction without guidance and takes a wide view of their accountabilities.High energy and ambition to achieve successful outcomes and high standards.Balances analysis and execution, adjusts thinking in the face of new information.Proactively spots and prioritises opportunities and issues.Generates a range of workable solutions, and partners with leaders to decide what should be done and by when, then acts.Shape the FutureSees the big picture and possibility from multiple angles and through a creative lens.Frames issues in a way that creates transparency and incorporates others' best thinking.Challenges themselves and others to tackle new or unfamiliar tasks and ways of working.Inspire through PurposeCommunicates in a compelling, persuasive, and impactful way.Draws on a variety of influencing styles to engage different audiences.Finds broader meaning in their work and aspires to make a significant difference.Invest in TalentProactively seeks feedback and development for growth and acts on it.Reads their environment and understands how culture and context influences people's perspectives and behaviours.Is actively aware of the impact they have on others and tunes in to the needs of those around them.Ideal experiences / Qualifications / capabilitiesProven experience in compliance and ethics, governance, risk management, controls.
